Dr. Justin Dole is known for his thoughtful, down-to-earth approach and his commitment to helping patients feel at ease. He earned his DMD from the Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine, where he developed a strong clinical foundation in restorative and preventative care. At Tend, Dr. Dole sees patients at both Post Office Square and Fenway, and is dedicated to creating treatment plans that are personalized, practical, and built around each patient's long-term health goals.

My latest treatment earlier this year with Dr. Cevallos and Alexa was perfect. The care and attention to detail made all the difference. I visited Tend Midtown on an emergency basis today and had a lot of reservations because horrible past experiences with dentists. I was blown away at how friendly and accommodating everyone was. Let me start off by saying the facility and equipment are nest level. I was greeted by Sidney who automatically made me feel better. Janelle was a Godsend. Her calming demeanor and professionalism are the reasons I will return. She completly eased my anxiety! Lisa explained everything regarding my condition and the treatment plan. This was definitely the best dental experience to date!
I went to this office with an emergency, they attend to me right away, the service and work done on my tooth was perfect, I have no regrets. The dental office is also really clean and organized. I will definitely recommend it.
As a person who genuinely dreads the dentist, I'm so thrilled to have found tend. The staff is great at easing anxiety, and didn't make me feel judged at all. The staff here at Navy Yard are the best!!! Dr. Turkson, Dr. Showkatian and Roxy made me feel so comfortable once again. Im ine to be petrified of the dentist the sounds make me out of control. I use to pass out after leaving the any dental office. Since I've been coming to Tend...hasn't happened any more. There expertise in what they do made my nervousness go away. They ease my nervousness with their kind approach and gentle care. Explanations of aftercare is given as well. When you walk in door you're greeted with kindness. Thanks and ❤️ to the Navy Team!!!
I’ve had a fantastic experience at Tend. I have had very high dental anxiety throughout my life and once I communicated this to the team we talked through a plan to keep me informed and comfortable with the dental work I needed to get done! My dental anxiety has dramatically decreased over the last few years and my teeth are healthier than ever. Highly recommend!
This was seriously the best experience ever. Everyone is so incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, professional, and accommodating. I received fantastic care in a clean and welcoming environment. Amazing amenities too - I watched The Office on Netflix after using a heated eye mask. I was so comfy I fell asleep. I can't wait to come back.
Who really likes going to the dentist? I was embarrassed by my teeth. The staff and Dr. Leonard made me feel so very comfortable. I highly recommend.
Wonderful experience at Tend Rockefeller. The staff members are friendly, the facility is super clean and modern, and my dentist Dr. Vana B is amazing. She explains the procedures very thoroughly and she is attentive. Excellent work. Dental assistant Rosa ensured I was comfortable and well-cared for throughout my appointment. Everyone was so professional and pleasant. The studio is very clean. They thoroughly check you and give you all options for your treatment, explaining everything! The staff is friendly and they make sure you are very comfortable. I’m looking forward to bringing my daughter in as a patient as well.
Can I say, I’ve been to a bunch of dental offices and the Tend location on Capitol Hill is the best place. I’m sure the other tend offices are amazing as well but this was the only location I’ve been too and the front desk, hygienists and dentists are so kind and considerate. They always ask if I feel any pain or ask if I’d like to turn the channel to any particular show I’d like to watch while I get my cleaning. The tools they use are top of line and I have never had any issues with them working with my health insurance. I have Delta Dental and I’ve never needed to do any extra work to resolve any coding issues like I had to do in Hawaii and some offices in the DMV. When coming to see my family after the holidays I literally scheduled an appointment to see them. I now only trust them to work on my teeth. I had prior issues in the past with dental offices not related to Tend on Maple Lawn where I found that they were doing unnecessary fillings and went to this office the first time and they showed me my X-ray and said I didn’t need the fillings.
Dr. Tara is truly the best! I’ve never had a dentist make me feel more comfortable in their chair when getting dental work. If I could rate her 10 stars out of 10, I would!

Best dental office experience I have ever had. HANDS DOWN. They have top of the line tech which made everything such a smooth experience, but mostly the staff goes above and beyond to be helpful and kind—from the front desk associate to the dentist all around great treatment. My dental hygienist, Kim was so attentive and you can tell he truly cares about his job. He went above and beyond to make sure my concerns were addressed even though I arrived a little late (someone give him a raise ASAP!!) Did not feel like they were pushy with any treatments that I may not need like other dentists. Truly will be a client for life.
[My hygienist] really cared about my teeth and took the extra mile to properly clean it, take pictures, explain to them, answer my questions, and give me suggestions. I would usually be at the dentist for about 20-40 minutes at most, but I spent over an hour with her, and honestly, I think she did a 5-star job.
Amazing staff. Super clean office. Xrays have never been easier and the transparency of my care is the absolute best! Tend makes me look forward to going to the dentist.
Literally the same dental procedures you can get done at any dentist, but such a more relaxing and enjoyable vibe. Staff was attentive and helpfully explained every part of the process. I recently joined as a new patient. I got a cleaning, and then a few fillings shortly thereafter. My experiences have been amazing. The staff are very friendly and welcoming yet also professional, you get to watch TV while they're doing the work, the office is very modern and elegant, and I especially felt welcomed as a queer person. Absolutely. We partner with major dental insurers to get you amazing care at amazing prices. We also offer a real-time online benefits check before you come in. We’ll show you the maximum cost for your dental visit, so you’ll never pay more than you expect. The insurers we partner with include: Delta Dental, Aetna, Cigna, United Healthcare, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield, Guardian, MetLife, United Concordia, Principal, Oxford Health Plans, and Ameritas. We recommend coming in for a cleaning and checkup every six months, which is the standard for most patients. These regular visits help us catch small issues—like early signs of decay or gum disease—before they become more serious or expensive to treat.
However, some patients may need to come in more frequently, especially if they have a history of gum disease, wear orthodontic appliances like aligners, or are more prone to plaque buildup. Your dentist will work with you to create a personalized care plan based on your needs, so you’re always getting the right level of care at the right time.
Even if everything looks great, cleanings help remove plaque and tartar that you can’t get rid of with brushing and flossing alone—and they’re key to keeping your smile feeling fresh and looking its best.
Your first visit is designed to be both thorough and welcoming. Here’s what it includes:
- A complete dental exam to assess your teeth, gums, bite, and overall oral health
- Digital x-rays for a detailed look below the surface (with significantly lower radiation than traditional x-rays)
- A gentle, professional cleaning tailored to your needs
- A one-on-one conversation with your dentist, who will walk you through any findings, answer your questions, and create a treatment plan if needed
We’ll also review your dental history, talk about your goals (whether it’s improving your oral health or brightening your smile), and give you time to ask questions—without feeling rushed.
The environment is designed to feel calm and spa-like, so you can relax and actually enjoy taking care of your smile.
Call us at 212-257-3455. Just make sure to do so more than 48 hours before your appointment time. If you cancel or reschedule less than 48 hours in advance, we’ll have to charge you a $50 fee. If you don’t make it at all, we’ll have to charge you a $100 fee. This is because we reserved that time specifically for you, and our appointments are in high demand.
